The Canadian Urological Association is a professional organization for urologists in Canada. It provides patient resources, guidelines, education, events, research and an academic journal.

Challenges:

The client wanted to establish a series of dedicated podcasts to educate Canadian urologists, genitourinary medical oncologists, and other health care professionals in the genitourinary space.

Objectives:

Canadian Podcasting Productions (CPP) was tasked with:

  • Podcast Series Creation: Develop a podcast series with appropriate branding and guide the client through all aspects of the podcast development process.
  • Webinar Footage Repurposing: Convert video footage used in previous webinars put on by the client, to be played back as podcasts.

Solution:

  • Series development: CPP held a number of planning meetings with the client to determine the direction of the podcast series and develop a format and branding identity for the series.
  • Webinar to podcast transfer: Our team reviewed a wealth of footage from previous webinars held by the client to select the most relevant content and edited it to be used in the podcast series.

Outcome:

  • Final Podcast Series: A podcast series was successfully designed and created to at as an educational resource for professional development.
  • Webinar Footage Integration: A significant amount of webinar footage was repurposed for use in the podcast series. Doing so cut down on cost and time of recording while leveraging existing assets to strengthen podcast series content.
